U.S. visa photo
A U.S. visa photo must be 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) in size.
The head of the applicant should be between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches (25 – 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head, according to the U.S. Department of State. The photo should also be in color, printed on matte or glossy photo quality paper, and taken against a plain white or off-white background.
- Size: The photo must be exactly 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm).
- Head Position: The head should be centered in the photo and measure 1 to 1 3/8 inches (25 to 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head, according to the U.S. Department of State.
- Color: The photo must be in color.

It should be a full-face view directly facing the camera.
A neutral facial expression or a natural smile is preferred, with both eyes open.
Glasses are generally not allowed, unless they are medically necessary and cannot be removed.
No hats or head coverings are allowed, unless worn daily for religious purposes, and they must not obscure the hairline or cause shadows.
The photo should not be digitally enhanced or altered.
The photo should be printed on matte or glossy photo quality paper.
The photo should not be copied or scanned from other documents.
There should be no distracting shadows.

U.K. visa photo
To meet the UK visa photo requirements, the photo must be in color, clear, sharp, and a true likeness of the applicant. It should be taken against a plain, light-colored background with even lighting and no shadows. The applicant should face the camera with a neutral expression, open eyes, and a closed mouth, without wearing sunglasses or hats (unless for religious or medical reasons). Glasses are permitted if they are not tinted or thick-framed, and there’s no glare or reflection on the lenses.

U.A.E. visa photo
UAE visa photo requirements include specific dimensions, background, and facial expression. The photo must be 43mm x 55mm with a white or light background. The face should occupy 80% of the photo area and be centered with an open, neutral expression.
- Size: 43mm x 55mm (4.3cm x 5.5cm).
- Background: Plain white or light.
- Face Size: The face should take up approximately 80% of the photo area.
- Head Position: The head must be centered and visible from the crown to the chin.
- Facial Expression: Neutral, no smiling or frowning.
- Eyes: Open and clearly visible, with no hair covering them.
- Lighting: Even lighting, no shadows or flash reflections.
- Quality: Clear, in focus, and of good quality.
- Format: JPG or JPEG.
- Resolution: 300 DPI is recommended.
- File Size: Maximum 40KB for electronic submissions.
- Additional Notes: No glasses, hats, or other items obstructing the face. Photos should be no more than 6 months old.
Canada visa photo
To meet the Canada visa photo requirements, ensure your photo is: 50 mm wide by 70 mm high (2 inches wide by 2¾ inches high) with the head measuring between 31 mm and 36 mm. The photo must be clear, in focus, and printed on high-quality photographic paper. It should also be taken in person by a commercial photographer or studio, not printed at home.

- Head Size: The height of your face, from chin to crown, should be between 31 mm (1¼ inches) and 36 mm (1⁷⁄₁₆ inches).
- Clarity and Quality: The photo must be clear, sharp, and in focus, with uniform lighting and no shadows, glare, or flash reflections.
- Background: The background should be plain white or light-colored.
- Neutral Expression: The photo should show a neutral expression with your mouth closed and eyes open.
